DEUTSCHE BANK Identity Art Competition
In 2000, after Deutsche Bank acquired the American Bankers Trust, the company faced a substantial internal cultural change. As an art historian in the marketing department, I took over a project aiming to bring cultures together with art. Together with Prof Bernd Kracke, now President of Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach (HfG), we invited art students of University of Barcelona, University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), National University of Fine Arts and Music, Tokyo, and Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach to develop artworks on "Identity". A total of 90 pieces were submitted and a final jury selected five global winners, among them Amparo Sard and Nasan Tur. An exhibition of the winners was shown in the global headquarters of Deutsche Bank London, Tokyo, New York and Frankfurt. Various events for executives and all employees got people to talk and exchange ideas: a unique and memorable experience in the finance industry.
