DEUTSCHE BANK “Identity Art Competition”
In 2000, after Deutsche Bank acquired American Bankers Trust, the company was facing a profound internal culture change. As an art historian in the marketing department, I took on a project aimed at bringing cultures together through art. Together with Prof. Bernd Kracke, now President of the Offenbach School of Design (HfG), we invited art students from the University of Barcelona, the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), the National University of Fine Arts and Music, Tokyo, and the Offenbach School of Design to develop artworks on the theme of "identity." A total of 90 works were submitted, and a jury selected five global winners, including Amparo Sard and Nasan Tur. An exhibition of the winners was shown at Deutsche Bank's global headquarters in London, Tokyo, New York, and Frankfurt. Various events for executives and all employees stimulated conversations and the exchange of ideas: a unique and unforgettable experience in the financial industry.
